Zafra, 1954. Doctor of Media Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid and teaches documentation.  She has been dean of Communications and Humanities department in the European University.  She created and directed the online journal  Binaria: Revista de Comunicación, Cultura y Tecnología [Binary: Journal of Communication, Culture and Technology].  La princesa india [The Indian princess] (Alfaguara) was her first foray into the world of fiction followed by  Las filipinianas (Alfaguara).

In May 2011, she published in La Galera her first youth novel, Nick, a powerfull story about relationships between teenagers on internet.

With her novel, Tiempo de Arena, Inma Chacón received in october 2011 the prize of Finalista Premio Planeta, one of the most important in Spain (150 000 €).
